Black Cotton with Rose and Gold Print (sz. 12)

This gown, while 100% cotton, is anything but plain. It is a Millcreek textile print call Katsura. The print name suggests old world bazaars and exotic design, and it is beautiful. I purchased it quite some time ago and have been saving it for just the right project, and I haven't been disappointed! The fabric has certain crispness and hangs beautifully. The colors are predominately rose and green embellished with metallic gold. The design is perfectly matched on the bodice as well as in the skirt.

The bodice is lined in cotton muslin and fully boned at center back, side seams, and front darts. Nine pretty black buttons close the center front. The two piece coat sleeve is also lined. There is piping in the jewel neckline, shoulder seams and in the armholes.
